Да оцелееш в София е изкуство. Да превърнеш София в изкуство е провокация.

На 3 ноември ще направим пърформанс на Централна гара. На 4 ноември: дебат Underрад в Кино "Влайкова" за града и алтернативното изкуство.

ПЪРФОРМАНСЪТ: 3 ноември, 19:00, Централна гара

SAMPLES създава свръх-реалност от звуци, образи и танц. Откриваме повтарящите се образи и звуци в София, повтарящите се модели на поведение - от ежедневните малки риутали на индивида до поведението на по-големи групи. Изследваме градското пространство и неговите истории, за да изобретим града – да го преоткрием и измислим – по-хубав, по-наш, по-интересен:)

Пърформансът ще разчита на пряко участие от страна на публиката. Например звуковият артист ще постави микрофон сред зрителите, който ще запише мелодията на нечий телефон. Рингтонът на телефона ще се трансформира в семпъл, който ще се включи в пърформанса. Танцьорите също ще взаимодействат с публиката, ще отразяват нейните движения и пулса на градското пространство.

Ако сте в настроение да раздвижите сивотата, елате на Централна гара :) Идеите тръгват на път. SAMPLES идва в София.

София не е кокетен, луксозен град, не блести с мащабни проекти и дръзки експерименти. Какъв е обликът на София и може ли изкуството да обърне знака на сивотата, соца, войнстващия индивидуализъм? Как да превърнем минуса в плюс? Могат ли артистичните практики да създадат усещане за идентичност?

Ще се съберем, за да обменим идеи, да поговорим, да се запознаем. Артисти, архитекти, урбансити, културолози, социолози. Как да използваме изкуството, за да изобретим града?

Кой ще участва?

István Szakáts (artistic coordinator/video artist)

István Szakáts is new media artist and film director. He holds a university degree in Fine Arts (2003) and another in Compuer Sciences (1992). He teaches disciplines related to digital culture at the Cinema, Media and Television Department of the Babes-Bolyai University in Cluj. István Szakáts has directed and edited of over 200 short films, TV productions and media art projects. He is funding member and president of the AltArt Foundation. István Szakáts lives and works in Cluj, Romania.

Ion Coroi aka mortlacreier (audio artist)

The ”mortlacreier”(”braindead”) adventure is enbodied in the human named Ion Coroi and is connected to music: minimal, experimental or soft and wellbehaved, for bedtime. All prooves are digitally archived on netlabels such as Arhiva7 (Romania, http://arhiva7.ro/netlabel) or Sweet Smelling Surfaces (Franta, http://www.sumodehouse.com/sss/).
The adventure comes from walking through galleries, industrial spaces, on the green grass either alone or together with the visual company of Agnes, Istvan, Oana Felipov and Dan Basu.
There are several performances too: AVmotional 01; Heavy Mental - Bucuresti; Ciorbesti gathering 5 si 6; Mind The Gap – European Digital culture networking event; Cartfest 3; Personal Local Settings – setarea 0 in Iasi; in Nejmegen, Olanda; Studentfest: ARTE SF, Timisoara; Binarium Urban Aquarium, Sibiu; Urban Festival, Iasi; Mostre/Samples 2008, Cluj.

Ferenc Sinkó (choreographer/dancer)

Ferenc Sinkó graduated from the Theatre and Television Department of Babes-Bolyai University in 2002 and is actor of the Hungarian State Theatre of Cluj since graduation. He teaches at the same faculty since 2002 and works as full time assistant lecturer there since 2008. He is founder and president of the GroundFloor Group Association (www.groundfloor.ro).
He played parts in classical plays by Chekhov, Shakespeare, Buchner, Ibsen etc. under the direction of outstanding theatre directors such as Gabor Tompa, Andrei Şerban, Silviu Purcărete, Mihai Măniuţiu, David Zinder.
He took part in dance and movement workshops leaded by internationally acclaimed dancers and choreographers like Ray Chung, Martin Koegh, Andrew Harwood, Scott Wells, Kurt Koegel, Jess Curtis, David Zambrano, Alicia Grayson, Thomas Kampe, Chris Aiken, Nita Little, Ko Murobushi, and acting workshops with David Zinder, Tadeus Bradeczki and Yoshi Oida.
He signed stage movement composition for more than 10 theatre pieces and choreographed contemporary dance performances such as: „Message” (produced by GroundFloor Group, Cluj – 2009) „sunSET” (produced by GroundFloor Group, Cluj – 2006) and „Mostre/Samples” (produced by AltArt Cluj - 2008) and also worked as dancer or assistant choreographer with Melinda Jakab and Péter Uray.

Rariţa Zbranca

Rariţa Zbranca – is director and cofounder of the AltArt Foundation and president of Fabrica de Pensule, an independent space for contemporary arts in Cluj, Romania. She is a member of the Strategy Group of the “A Soul for Europe” initiative. She works as arts manager, cultural researcher, coach and is involved in cultural policy development. During the past eleven years she has worked in the fields of arts and culture, media, democracy and minority rights for nongovernmental organisations including AltArt Foundation, “A Soul for Europe”, Ethnocultural Diversity Resource Center, Soros Foundation for an Open Society Romania. Rarița Lives and works in Cluj, Romania.

Kinga Kelemen

Kinga Kelemen is founder and director of GroundFloor Group, a contemporary dance association in Cluj, Romania, producer of TRANS-CONTACT – International Contact Improvisation Festival (www.groundfloor.ro), at its fifth edition in 2010.
She is member of the board of Fabrica de Pensule (opened in 2009), a new independent contemporary art space running in a former paintbrush factory, where she is programming theatre and dance events in a black box type studio of 220 sqm.
Her background is in theatre marketing and coordinating international theatre festivals for Hungarian Theatre Cluj where she was employed between 1999-2007.
She is teaching at Theatre and Television Department of Babes Bolyai University since 2002.
